A 74-year-old man died on account of a fireplace in a care facility in Wolfen within the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district. Loud police The hearth broke out in his room on Wednesday. The person died within the hospital on Thursday evening.

Three different residents have been taken to a clinic to be checked. The police estimate the harm at round 10,000 euros. The reason for the hearth remains to be unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
