On the Rhineland-Palatinate get together convention AfD Sebastian Münzenmaier needs to be elected because the get together’s new state chief at present. The vice-chairman of the AfD parliamentary group and deputy state chairman is unlikely to have any opposing candidates on the assembly in Bingen (from 10 a.m.).

If the election is profitable, the 36-year-old Münzenmaier will succeed Jan Bollinger. Bollinger has been on the head of the get together since 2022 and can now be given a deputy place in accordance with Münzenmaier’s plans.

The 49-year-old Bollinger had led the AfD as the highest candidate within the state election marketing campaign, however had already misplaced his place as chairman of the state parliamentary group after an inside get together energy wrestle. The AfD is represented by 24 members within the Mainz parliament.
