The overseas ministers of eight nations condemned the actions of the right-wing extremist Israeli police minister Itamar Ben-Gvir in the direction of the activists of the Gaza Support Fleet. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt, amongst others, expressed outrage after Ben-Gvir posted a video by which he mocked activists who have been tied up on the bottom.
“Ben-Gvir’s deliberate public humiliation of detainees is a shameful assault on human dignity and a transparent violation of Israel’s obligations underneath worldwide regulation, together with worldwide humanitarian regulation and worldwide human rights regulation,” the eight nations, together with Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Pakistan, stated in a press release.
