The Vet Idea Gladiators trier have been the final workforce to safe a ticket for the playoffs within the Basketball Bundesliga. Within the decisive play-in sport, Trier beat the Rostock Seawolves 76:69 (47:43) and thus made it into the knockout spherical.

There the Gladiators will meet defending champions and high favorites Bayern Munich within the quarterfinals. The primary two video games of the best-of-five sequence happen on Sunday and Tuesday in Munich. The sequence then strikes to Trier.

Trier completed the principle spherical eighth within the desk, however clearly misplaced to Rasta Vechta within the first play-in sport. Rostock was in ninth place after 34 match days and had comfortably prevailed in opposition to the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg within the first play-in spherical.
